Koei-Kan is an original style of Karate that can be traced back to its roots in China, Okinawa, and Japan. Koei-Kan Karate-Do was brought to the United States in 1954 by Edwards Kaloudis with the permission of Koei-Kan's founder Kancho Eizo Onishi. Koei-Kan is a very disciplined style of martial art that has not been changed or Americanized from it's tradition. When a student is qualified and accepted for membership, he is required to adhere to the honored traditions and principles of the ancient ways with their emphasis on total mind and body development.

Koei-Kan literally translates to "Prosper with Happiness". It is a style that becomes an exceptionally efficient system of self-defense and a valuable means for the development of one's inner strength and a sense of universal brotherhood.
