Yoga

Yoga is a great way to achieve fitness as well as relaxation. Yoga movements are slow, concentrated, and gentle, though your body is stretched and conditioned.

The Gym offers the following yoga classes.

  • YogaFit Yoga - Sunday mornings at 9:00am
  • No charge for The Gym members
  • $10 per session for non-members

YogaFit Yoga

YogaFit includes a (75 minute) tough, cardiovascular workout as well as elements of Hatha Yoga poses (with 10 minutes of relaxation at the end) that lengthen and strengthen the muscles.

YogaFit integrates body and mind for total performance. YogaFit is about exploring your limits, physically and metally. You will learn how to stay relaxed in demanding physical situations and you will be able to transfer this skill to other aspects of your life. With regular YogaFit workouts, you will experience increased strength and stamina, higher energy levels, and better body tone. You will also have more body awareness, increased inner strength, better concentration and noticeable stress reduction.

Diane Knight, your YogaFit instructor, has been practicing yoga for 8 years and has a level II certification through YogaFit. She enjoys teaching in Lake Orion and Oxford and loves spending time with her husband and 5 children.
